How to recycle toilet paper tubes or rolls and turn them into Christmas decorations?

Materials

  • Toilet paper rolls or tubes
  • Cardboard
  • EVA foam
  • Glue or silicone

The idea is to create a kind of Christmas garland, which you can decorate however you like: you can make a Father Christmas, a Christmas reindeer, a snowman, etc.

Toilet paper tubes or rolls can be recycled in various ways.

The first step is to clean the toilet paper or kitchen paper tubes thoroughly so that there are no paper scraps left. Then cut them horizontally to the size you want. We recommend cutting them to about 3 cm.

You should have about 7 pieces for each garland. The next step is to make a cut in each of the pieces or links so that you can assemble a chain. Join the links with adhesive tape or glue.

Once the garland is assembled, you can start painting the pieces and decorating them as you like. You can add details with card, EVA foam, buttons, googly eyes, etc.

Toilet paper rolls and tubes can be turned into a Christmas garland.

If you wish, you can assemble a super long garland and use it to decorate a piece of furniture, a door or a window. The important thing is that you can make use of those rolls or tubes that you would otherwise have thrown away.
